I just saw Eyes Wide Shut again on monday. I liked it more than I did the last time I saw it. I also realized why I like the movie so much. It mostly takes place during night time and portrays dark wet streets reflecting bright lights, it has moody clubs, drugs, hookers and stuff. I think the movie captured the mysterious feeling of nocturnal cities very well. Lots of stuff going on that we don't hear about in the daytime. I feel the film presents the night almost as another world. (Well, I also feel that night is always almost like another world.) The film seems to divide opinions quite sharply, but I recommend this film for those who haven't seen it (although I guess almost everyone has seen it). The mood is just stunning.
